Moving Forward

Your site is now online for all the world to see. Here are some steps you can take with your new website to build your presence online.

Get the Word Out

To get traffic moving to your new website and improve your ranking in searches, you need to get the word out that your site is online. An email list or newsletter is a great way to update customers and clients you already have contact with. Don’t forget to include what your website can do for them.

Keep It Fresh

Update your website with fresh content at regular intervals. This keeps visitors interested in returning to your site and also helps your site show up higher in search results. Update your images a few times a year and the content as often as possible – a good way to do this is to use a blog. Even if you’re not great at writing, your entries can be short or even in video format. After about a year, it is a good idea change your website layout or colours to keep it fresh so people keep returning.

Build Your Content

Keeping your content updated will not only help drive new traffic to your site, it also shows search engines that your site is still ‘alive’ and being used. You can do this by adding new pages, maintaining a blog with regular entries or simply updating the content on existing pages and making sure it is still relevant to your online strategy.

Protect Your Site

More than half of web traffic comes from spammers, malware and hackers. You can choose to protect your site yourself or let Levi Scarman Creative take care of it. Web Care Plans are available to make sure your site is protected so you can sleep better at night.
